Pembina Pipeline (PBA) announces intent to switch from monthly to quarterly dividend payouts

Some analysts say this should not affect Pembina’s dividend as it is well supported by their conservative payout ratio. It’s estimated near 60% after accounting for all capital expenditures.

Subject to approval of future common share dividends by the Board of Directors, Pembina intends to move from its current practice of paying monthly dividends to a quarterly common share dividend payment, following the monthly December 2022 dividend. Quarterly dividend payments are expected to be made on the last business day of March, June, September and December to shareholders of record on the 15th day of the corresponding month, if, as and when declared by the Board of Directors.

I’m still holding onto my shares. While the monthly income is nice quarterly isn’t so bad. Pembina should still have a conservative payout ratio near 60% in 2023 and their balance sheet is solid.

If you’re looking for a replacement some other companies that payout monthly with a good yield are *Realty Income (O), *Main Street Capital (MAIN), RioCan (RIOCF), SL Green Realty (SLG), and *SLR Investment Corp (SLRC).

I hope you are able to find something that suits your needs! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
